Attendance Guidelines
- Each participant in a regularly scheduled GenNET interactive class adheres to the attendance policy of the host site (sending site) for the period of time of their GenNET ITV class.
- These are shared and distributed by the GenNET ITV teacher to GenNET ITV participants in writing at the beginning of the school year and should be shared with parents accordingly.
- Attendance reports are faxed weekly by the GenNET office to principals indicating attendance for the previous week.
- Should there be an issue as the result of a deviation from the home school’s attendance policy, immediate contact with the GenNET ITV teacher, home school principal and/or counselor is advised.
- Due to the uniqueness of the GenNET ITV classes, it is expected that GenNET ITV participants will attend class regularly and will coordinate all known absences with the GenNET ITV teacher in advance when applicable.
- Students who miss regularly may be reassigned or dropped from the GenNET ITV class. Snow day and emergency closings will be addressed by individual GenNET ITV teachers.
- Students who miss a GenNET ITV class are responsible for the work missed within an approved and agreed upon schedule coordinated with the GenNET ITV teacher.

Grading Policy/Guidelines
- Each participant in a regularly scheduled GenNET interactive class adheres to the grading policy of the host site (sending site).
- Guidelines are shared and distributed by the GenNET ITV teacher to GenNET ITV participants in writing at the beginning of the school year/semester and should be shared with parents accordingly.
- Due to the variance in marking periods throughout the county, the GenNET ITV student may receive a GenNET ITV progress report at five (5) week intervals or upon request by the school.
- Grade reports are faxed to principals according to the established grade/progress reporting schedule.
- Any questions regarding grading should be directed to the GenNET ITV teacher immediately so as to resolve any issues in an effective manner.

Textbook/Materials Policy/Guidelines
- Each participant in a regularly scheduled GenNET interactive class is supplied the appropriate textbook/materials as required for full participation in the GenNET ITV class by the host site.
- These remain the property of the host site unless otherwise stipulated and are expected to be returned at the end of the GenNET ITV class in reusable condition.
- Should there be loss of said materials, the GenNET ITV participant will be responsible for replacement or reimbursement for the lost textbook/materials to the host site.

Acceptable Use Policy
- Each participant in a GenNET ITV class/activity adheres to the local district Acceptable Use Policy that is on file at the GenNET office.
- This acceptable use policy/guideline ensures that access to any and all content via GenNET adheres to the highest standard of behavior and is in compliance with agreed practices of the GenNET consortium.
- In addition, all students participating in a GenNET interactive class sign a Student Contract that outlines specific expectations as a participant in a regularly scheduled GenNET ITV class.
- These are also on file at the GenNET office and at the local district high school offices.
